We are looking for a motivated postdoctoral researcher with strong background in cell biology and molecular biology for a long term research project on cellular communication. The project is on biology of ageing and age-related diseases, in particular the aspect of latency in phenotypic expression of such diseases linked to inflammation. Research will be mentored by prof. Miroslav Radman, one of the world leaders in DNA repair and the biology of aging. Mediterranean Institute for Life Sciences (MedILS) in Split, Croatia (http://www.medils.org) is an international, private, non-profit scientific institution. The reason for MedILS to be located in Split is that this particular Mediterranean region is geographically, climatically and culturally exceptional, ideal to trigger creativity and develop young talents. To be the right candidate, you need to have experience working with cell cultures, have experience in imaging, at least one first-author publication and good communication skills in English.
The initial appointment will be for one year with possibility of extension for up to 4 years.
