ENDOCYTE is a multidisciplinary Research and Training Network (RTN) of 12 European laboratories funded by the 6th Framework Programme of the EU, dedicated to the study of the intracellular routes of growth factor signaling and their relevance for the regulation and diversification of growth factor function.
Workshop on “Functional genomics and proteomics in molecular medicine”
After the genomic revolution that resulted in the sequencing of thousands of different genomes, attention is now turning to the functional analysis of all genes in a given model organism. Functional Genomics and Proteomics technologies have thus become an extraordinary important tool in so-called “post-genomics” era. The objective of this workshop, that is aimed at students and postdoctoral fellows, is to combine Functional Genomics and Proteomics issues, i.e. frontiers, challenges, unanswered questions, with discussions of functional genomic- and proteomic-technology status and future directions related to challenges in the post-genomic era.
Applications are invited from scientists at post-graduate and early post-doctoral level for the first lecture course in this new series, entitled “Microbial Genomics and Secondary Metabolites” to be held at the Mediterranean Institute for Life Sciences (MedILS).
