EMBO meeting on Cellular Signaling and Molecular Medicine

Dear Colleagues,
Your are cordially invited to join us at the EMBO Conference on Cellular Signaling and Molecular to be held in Dubrovnik, Croatia, May 29th-June 4th, 2008.
The conference is intended to showcase recent results from fields of molecular and cellular biochemistry, with special emphasis on translational sciences. Talks will be held by internationally renowned scientists at the forefront of their fields, who will be discussing cutting edge technologies in molecular medicine and novel target signaling networks in various pathologies. In addition, 8 presentations for hot topics in 2008 will be selected among conference participants. There will also be poster sessions providing an opportunity for exhibitors and meeting attendants to discuss their work in a relaxed and intimate setting. A special session on Science and Society co-coordinated by Andrew Moore from EMBO will provide a forum for participants to learn about the science communication with the public.
We are also proud to announce Dr. Tim Hunt, Cancer Research UK, as our keynote speaker. Tim Hunt shared the Nobel Prize in Physiology and Medicine 2001 with Paul Nurse and Leland Hartwell for their discoveries of cell cycle regulation by cyclin and cyclin-dependent kinases.
