2008 senior students from Natural Sciences and Technical High School in Split visited MedILS
November 18th, 2008 senior students from Natural Sciences and Technical High School in Split visited MedILS. Under the supervision of their teacher, Mr. Pomeo Lakoš, the students met with Medils founder and director, Professor Miroslav Radman, who gave a talk on evolutionary genetics. After the talk, Professor Radman answered their questions, and student were given a tour of MedILS premises, where they had a change to visit wet labs and interact with scientists and Ph.D. students to get more informed about working in a research institute-
This visit is part of „MedILS in the Community“ project, which is designed to improve the communication between MedILS, as a top scientific institute, and the local community of Split. The scientists who are engaged in this project would like to actively participate in the life of Split and the wider community. This is one of many ways in which MedILS will disseminate information about new technologies, scientific research, and the results of the adacemic and scientific work. In a popular and open way medILS would like to inform, educate and make an effort to reach out to the wider Split community.
