Medils is located in Croatia, geographically, climatically and culturally a quite exceptional region of the Mediterranean.
The natural beauty and the existing buildings at MedILS provide a large campus unlike any other.
The Mediterranean Institute for Life Sciences is situated in a wonderful, yet hidden location, but is easily accessible by bus or car.

From the bus/train station
The Main Bus Station and Train Station are located in the eastern part of the Split ferry harbour, so these instructions also apply to visitors reaching Split by sea.
The taxi service is available at two locations: one right next to the bus station and the other on the western part of the harbour, immediately next to the St. Francis Church (Sveti Frane); we encourage you to take a 5-minute walk to the other side. Why? There are three good reasons:
1. Taxis are much cheaper if you take them there
2. In front of the church is the public transit stop – MedILS can be on route of bus number 12. Ticket cost is 11 Kn.
3. The Split harbour is really a wonderful sight.

From the airport
The Split Airport is located in Divulje, between Trogir and Kaštela, around 25 kilometers from the Split centre. Croatia Airlines provides a bus directly from the airport exit station to the main bus station in Split. Taxi is also available, as well as a local bus line Trogir-Split.
If you are driving from the airport, follow the signposts for Split. Once you approach Split there are two options: one to go straight, and the other to make right turn to the Split-Center. Take the right turn to Split-Center. Follow this road down two traffic lights and make a right turn at the third light. (To the right of the third traffic light there is a building named Slobodna Dalmacija). Once you make this turn drive all the way down until you come to a tunnel. Go through the tunnel and continue straight until you come to a T-intersection and take a right turn. Drive down the road for about 1 kilometer. The Institute is located on your left side, on a downhill driveway with a security gate.
