More than a feeling – Adhesion-GPCRs translate context into function

We are pleased to announce a lecture by Prof. Ines Liebscher from the Rudolf-Schoenheimer Institute of the Medical Faculty, University of Leipzig in Germany. Prof. Liebscher’s group aims to unravel the function of the adhesion G protein-coupled receptors (adhesion GPCRs) – the largest membrane-standing proteins in vertebrates which are implicated in cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions.

Croatian-French Days of Administrative Law

Within the partnership of the Faculty of Law University of Split and University of Panthéon Assas – Paris II the existence of which dates from the XIIth century, in Split continuously since 2007 an international conference  Croatian-French Administrative Law Days  Every year the most eminent French and Croatian legal experts, academics and practitioners have been participating, mostly in the area of administrative law in order to present and discuss the most current administrative law issues and institutes.

Systems approaches in cancer "EMBO"

Significant progress has been made in characterizing the genetics of cancer and cellular pathways that are critical for cancer initiation and progression. However, most studies focused on single genes or proteins and highlighting the need to analyze cancers as integrated systems of gene/protein/metabolite networks and the underlying regulatory mechanisms.

From the 1st until the 5th of August Professor Ivo F. Sbalzarini from Max Planck Institute Dresden visited MedILS. Prof Sbalzarini gave us a seminar entitled: MICROSCOPY IMAGE ANALYSIS: TEACHING COMPUTERS TO SEE.

Festival znanosti Sveučilišta u Splitu 2016.

Sveučilište u Splitu i ove godine organizira Festival znanosti u periodu od 18. do 23. travnja 2016. U bogatom programu 14. Festivala znanosti Sveučilišta u Splitu nalazi se više od 150 aktivnosti za sve uzraste, od vrtićke djece, učenika osnovnih i srednjih škola do opće populacije. U programu Festivala znanosti nalazi se uz svaku aktivnosti naznaka za koji je uzrast predviđena, a važno je napomenuti da je za određene radionice potrebna najava kako bi se manjem broju sudionika omogućilo kvalitetno sudjelovanje i svi potrebni materijali.
